Recent Books featuring Gary Kent
Yep, just had the official release and party re: Shadows and Light/Journeys With Outlaws In Revolutionary Hollywood here in Austin at Bookpeople. It could not have possibly have gone better. My stunt buddies, Chuck Bail, Rex Cumming, Bud Cardos, Bob Ivy and Don Jones came to town to keep the good guys away. Evening started with son Chris Kent and friend, Pat Hammonds, laying down a hot blues duet, then border balladeer Bianca DeLeon wowed the crowd with some of her originals. Then I read and chatted. Audience really into it. Books sold out…
The after party at Robert Bayless’ place was a hoot. Good food, good wine, good friends…we put the coyotes to bed at about 2 a.m. Respectable, I think.
Next, I am off to Denton on the 24, 25 for another reading, signing…and more on the agenda. Later on that. I’m tired. Gonna’ catch some slack.
